A note about shipping insurance: It is optional and in most cases may not be necissary. We take care in packaging your order to ensure that your books get to you undamaged. USPS has, however rarely, been known to mishandle books during the shipping process, causing damage to them. If it is important to you that your books arrive completely undamaged, we recommend you opt for shipping insurance. If you opt for insurance we will replace any damaged books, no questions asked. Without insurance, you are agreeing to accept your merchandise in the condition in which it arrives at your door.

Shipping Policy:
AuthorsBookshop.com strives to ship all orders within 1-2 business day of payment confirmation. We can not, however, guarantee that orders will be shipped within this time frame. Product availabilty, acts of nature, and unexpectedly high order volume are among the reasons that we may not be able to ship within 1-2 days. In any case, we will ship as soon as reasonably possible - we know you are excited to read your book, and how frustrating it can be if you have to wait.
Shipping Insurance Policy:
If you select an insured shipping option, AuthorsBookshop will promptly replace any books that you receive in damaged condition, no questions asked. Without insurance, you are agreeing to accept your merchandise in the condition in which it arrives at your door.
Backorder Policy:
Because of the nature of our business, it may occasionaly happen that you would like to order more of a particular title than we have on hand. If this occurs, we will immediately ship the quantity that we have and place the remaining quantity on backorder. Your backorder will be shipped as soon as we recieve a restock from the author. If you would like to cancel the backorder, or your whole order for that matter, email us immediately (just reply to the email notification) to let us know.
Return Policy:
Our catalog is filled with some of the most interesting, useful and well written liturature of our time. However, we understand that many people feel that they are taking a risk in purchasing independent books. We want you to feel completely comfortable buying books from AuthorsBookshop.com, and that is why we have a 100% no-questions-asked return policy. If you don't like the book you ordered, or the quality is not what you expect, just send it back to us for a full refund. We can even make it easy for you to return your book - just drop the book back in the packaging you received it in and mark it "return to sender." Please include a copy of the packing slip so that we can chargeback the cost of the book. If you want, you can include an explanation of why you didn't want to keep it - but you don't even have to do that.
