I loved the suspense created by the slow walk Mr. Talley took the reader through in this no holds barred book of pure romance. The mere thought of waiting and the anticipation was killing me softly. I loved it! I think every man and woman who is in a serious relationship should read this book. It will serve to “rekindle” the fire in the relationship and serve as a reminder that we all need to slow down our lives in this busy world we live in and enjoy each other more. Mr. Talley could put “The Maintenance Man” out of business!
The build up of the affair with “Sunshine” was like 24 hours of foreplay in real life. I loved the author’s writing style although a bit hard to follow at times. The use of broken words and short sentences took getting used to in the beginning. I recovered quickly and realized what Mr. Talley was saying and this added to the enjoyment of the book.
I also loved how this author used sexual imagery and sensuous language to describe his every move.
In addition, the short chapters made for more excitement because the reader did not have long to wait to get to the next section. This made for very interesting reading and what I considered a real “page turner.” I couldn’t wait to read where
Mr. Talley would go from page to page. My absolute favorite section was “Office Play.”
I like the idea of the forbidden and taking it to the office was ultra exciting. I loved it!
I would recommend this book to everyone who wants a feel good book that will spark the imagination and bring sexual energy into your life and your relationship.
Mr. Talley has it going on in a major way and I would like to read more books written by him. He has a way with words and makes the story come alive for the reader.
This book is not for the weak. It is provocative and contains “adult” language but for those who like adventure, this is the book for you.

| Sharel E. Gordon-Love: | If you have ever read Songs of Solomon in the Bible, you will understand the story Mr. Talley shares with us through his pen. He weaves a wonderful story of “man meets woman and then…”
Jarvis met Sunshine on his first day on a new job… he liked what he saw and began to put into play the thoughts he had in mind. Get to know Sunshine better. Lunches here, evenings out there, they shared their interests and hearts with each other before they shared their bed. The journey from here to there was romantic, hot and steamy, full of more than lust for each other.
It was erotic and yet Jarvis and Sunshine’s coming together was sweet, based on the Shunamite woman and the man in Songs of Solomon. In the same fashion the Shunamite woman and the man expressed their love verbally for each other, highlighting their features and the things they loved about one another, Mr. Talley did the same when he wrote his book. Allowing the reader to follow along, Jarvis’ heart was laid out before the woman he was coming to love more and more. As well, Sunshine did the same. From the time they met, the courtship, working through some doubts and finally pledging their full love to each other that led them down the aisle to the commitment of marriage and start of a family of their own.
I enjoyed this short book of romance enhanced by the CD provided by the author so that you could not only read, but hear the words of love expressed in his book.

The courtship between Sunshine and Mr. Talley will keep you on the edge of the bed waiting for your next earlobe seduction. Mr. Talley and Sunshine have a chance meeting…in their work environment…send spicy emails…have numerous lunch dates…exhibit intense sexual attraction…they may have love everlasting. Their love is awe inspiring with or without candles.
Mr. Talley gets an "A" for originality – the photos, CD, and constant lyrical flow is like no other. The erotic metaphors, poetic sensuality, and imagery will spice up any relationship. The poetry community must be ready to blow up because Mr. Talley just invented lyrical ejaculation. Definitely for mature audiences with the ability to communicate their desires because once you finish reading NO CANDLES you are going to need a release.

Two of my favorite things about NO CANDLES are the introductions to each piece and the CD. The introductions set the mood, the stage for each erotically tantalizing poem, and the CD, with Mr. Talley's sexy voice, brings the words to life in a way that goes beyond using your imagination. Believe me, you don't need candles if you have Mr. Talley's poetic heat.

NO CANDLES is a sexy, sultry, romantic tryst through the journey of love. It focuses on dating and getting to know someone, but with the main objective being communication and an emotional connection, drowning in sensuality. The story starts with Jarvis meeting Sunshine on her first day of work as she is introduced to the other office workers. He invites her out to lunch, and things advance as share and get to know each other.
Mr. Talley has the perfect balance of voice and tone to pull off this collection and the reader will appreciate the sincerity of the words, as well as the sensuous ways they are delivered. The accompanying CD with words set to music makes this an all-around great gift for lovers. NO CANDLES combines sensual imagery, passionate pictures, lyrical prose, and erotic metaphors, which create an unmistakable mood for love.
I would, however, suggest a thorough editing and clearer images, as not to take away from the scene Talley sets. NO CANDLES is definitely a book to set the stage for a romantic experience, whether you're just starting out or renewing your love. Most importantly, it shares that love is more than just sex. It is all encompassing of body, mind, and soul and the giving of each completely and passionately.
