The Travel Adventures of Lilly P Badilly description:
|
|
|
This is a book/fully narrated CD combination. The CD includes voice-overs, an original musical score and authentic Costa Rican sound effects. The music was written by the author's 15-year-old daughter.
Lilly P. Badilly is a little millipede with a brilliant mind and an exceptional talent for playing the piano. She lives in a hole in the wall in the Miami International Airport with
her grandparents, Nellie and Willie Badilly. Together they embark on a courageous, and sometimes hilarious, travel adventure in the fertile rain forest of Costa Rica. It is there that Lilly is forced to face her biggest fears in order to save the lives of her family, herself and her new friends. Lilly learns a lot about geography, culture and the plants and animals of Costa Rica. Best of all she discovers that if she uses her talents and intelligence, she can work through her fears and turn a scary situation into a celebration!

| Patricia: | | “My son is very bright, but he often has trouble concentrating on reading stories. He seems to get distracted easily, but he sat through the entire CD and followed the words closely along in the book. He kept talking about it afterward as well. It was so encouraging to see him get excited about reading!” |
| Author's Den: | This unique 64-page fiction picture book comes with a 35-minute CD for young readers, ages 5-10. The author's 15 year old daughter, Rachel, wrote an original musical score. She plays piano and sitar on the recording, whle the author's husband, John, plays guitar and harmonica.
The story teaches children about geography, culture, flora and fauna of Costa Rica, the environment and peaceful problem solving.
The Travel Adventures of Lilly P. Badilly: Costa Rica is truly an enchanting and informative story, unlike any other children’s book available today.
