Like many people, I used to spend a good deal of my time fantasizing about the life I wish I had. Caught in the mindset of I could never do that, "why can't I be more like so and so," and "nothing is ever going to change", I felt my dreams slipping away. But one simple question, why not?, changed my life forever. This phrase challenged to take control of my life and start driving towards the me I always hoped I could be.

About the Author
At seventeen years old, this mousy, small town girl found herself pregnant with her first child. By twenty-two years old, she had moved to the city and had three loving children but had very little independence, confidence, self esteem, or hope that shed ever reach her most secret goals.
One day, she simply asked herself why not. Suddenly, she realized that her answers to this question were merely fear, excuses, obstacles and challenges. Though it seemed as though her goals were overwhelming and unattainable, she realized that she owed it to herself and those that loved her to try.
She started volunteering, got a paying job, went back to school, practiced her driving skills, did a lot of soul searching, and faced a myriad of other obstacles and challenges in an effort to become the person she knew she was deep inside.
Today, the author holds an M.A. in Archaeology and Heritage (earned with distinction from the University of Leicester, UK) and has her own archaeological consulting company. She also writes four regular columns for print and online media, has ghostwritten four ebooks, and has pub-lished dozens of articles. The author has also recently been named Dean of the School of Religion and Spirituality at Suite University, were she has developed and instructs several online interest courses.
