Guy Boulianne's Bio:
As his first collection of poems “Avant-propos d'un prince fou” (foreword of a crazy prince) appeared in 1983, Guy Boulianne made his entry on the Canadian scene of arts and culture. This is when he met the painter Pierre Corbin, director of the Frère Jérôme Art Gallery in Montreal. A few years later, when the Lézart Gallery took over the Frère Jerôme Art Gallery for three years, Guy Boulianne opened his own art gallery on the famous Boulevard Saint Laurent. In 1987 he brought out his second poetry book “La Bataille des saints” (The battle of the saints) and several articles in the reviews he published.
In order to specialize in the research of historical secrets and the hidden sides of history, Guy Boulianne withdrew from the public scene and closed down his gallery in 1990. He started to lead a hermit’s life of studies exploring books, documents and the witness of collective and individual memories. His work lead him throughout Europe, especially France and Belgium, which revealed to be extremely stimulating.
Returning to Canada, Guy Boulianne decided to make another start in the world of arts with the creation of two virtual art galleries where he presented artists on an international scale. In 1996 he published a collection of poems from talented Canadian and European writers. The poetry book Acacia turned out to be a real success and was presented in many towns on a tour throughout France.
On the basis of such success, Guy Boulianne founded the publishing company Mille Poètes LLC in 2005 and became chief editor. With Mille Poètes he published in 2007 his surrealist tale “Les Biflides se souviennent” (Memories of the Biflides) and the historical essay “Le Mont du roi” (The King’s mount).
Invited to join the Research Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute (North Carolina, U.S.A.) in 2003, Guy Boulianne has an entry under his name in the Canadian “Dictionary of local poets from 1606 until today” (Dictionnaire des poètes d'ici - de 1606 à nos jours) published by the Quebec editor Guérin Edition.
He is the founder of "Institut Biographique International" (2007).
